Much of my sketchbook from those days was filled with awkward, unresolved experiments that mirrored that inner confusion.

This piece was different—it arrived almost unexpectedly amid many attempts that didn't quite land. As the ink flowed, the lines found their own harmony, organizing into a living structure: a majestic tree rising upward with roots spreading wide, and a small, quiet town nestled peacefully at the crown of its branches.

Woven into the flowing forms are subtle hints of life—creatures, plants, fruits, tiny ecosystems, and heart-like shapes nestled within the trunk and roots. To me, it became a map of an internal landscape: the complex, sometimes tangled terrain of emotions and experiences that, over time, can still grow toward connection, compassion, and renewed life.

Even emerging from a difficult season, the branching structures and serene village above carry a quiet optimism—a gentle promise that growth and kindness can take root again.

This artwork now stands as an early foundation of the visual language I continue to explore in my work today.
